Freezing Froot Bat Friday
Here are my frozen ears of corn. It is very freezing here in the Mitten State. Again. Or still. We got more snow last night. This is me right after I came in from my 9 o'clock potty break. I was covered in snow. So Mom dried me off, got me up on the couch next to Dad, and covered me up. It was pretty cozy.
This is me getting ready to blog. I am still covered up, so Mom said she'd type for me. Dad and I watched the rest of Celebrity Apprentice and some March Madness basketball while Mom typed. It turned out to be a pretty relaxing night, despite all the snow.
In other news, EG got in trouble last night. He chased Tazo up on top of the cable box and then put a giant bitey on her neck. She screamed, I jumped up to defend her, and Dad grabbed EG. It was a pretty exciting night. EG had to get a time out. He was still mad after that, so he tried to put the bitey on my ear. He got in trouble for that, too.
Happy Froot Bat Friday everyone!

Thoughts on Thursday
Momma says she is tapped out this week. She helped me do a T13, but it was super boring, so she said that I could post some random thoughts I've had this week.
- I am now obsessed with q*tips. Like Daisy, I like it when they get all long and stringy and stretched out and damp with spit. hee hee I also like it when Momma tickles Daddy's nose with the wet end and grosses him out. hee hee Q*tips are just about the funnest thing ever.
- Black tuxie kitties (like Bert) might be nicer than
graygrey tuxie kitties. *cough*EG*cough* - German chocolate cake is awesome!! A plate of it fell out of the refrigerator last night. I stole a piece. And eated it while Momma was busy cleaning up the rest of the cake. And Momma didn't even know I stole it until Titus was licking up the crumbs. That I left in the laundry room. By mistake.
- Mommas tend to freak out when they don't know exactly how much cake a kitty eats. Daddys have to remind them that there's probably not enough chocolate in a boxed cake mix to do much of anything. Except maybe upset my tummy. Which it didn't.
- There has not been a lot of laundry done this week. So my nice, warm nappy spot on top of the dryer has not been all that nice and warm. :/ Maybe Momma will do laundry tonight. She did say something about having to wear desperation undies today. I guess those are the pairs you wear when all the good ones are dirty. Since I don't wear undies, I don't know. I'm just hoping that she turns on the dryer tonight.

Ear Tips and Tazo Tuesday *Updated*
These are my ear tips. They have been very, very chilly lately. Because even though it is spring now, Mother Nature hasn't caught on. In fact, we are supposed to get a little more snow today. I am a little tired of having freezy toes and frozen ears of corn.
UPDATE: Look at the cool Tazo Tippers that Zoey left for me. My ear tips feel much, much better now. Thank you, Zoolatry!
In other news, last night we all got a bite of chicken. Momma gave EG a chunk and he just stared at it. Then she gave me a chunk and I stared at it, too. But then I carried it behind the treadmill. Titus did not stare at his chunk. He gobbled it up. But while Momma was rassling with Titus (who was trying to eat *our* chunks of chicken), she wasn't paying attention to EG and his chunk or me and my chunk. EG dropped his down behind the couch cushions and just stared at it some more. I may or may not have hidden mine under the treadmill. hee hee Momma had to get Titus to go on a chicken hunt. She's pretty sure that there is no more hidden chunks of chicken, but she told us that we might be in a little bit of trouble if our hidden chicken starts to stink.
In other news, this morning I found some saltines in the cupboard. So I helped myself. But then Momma heard the crackly plastic and tooked them away. :( Then EG started to push Momma's coffee mug off the counter. She heard that, too, and tooked it away. She did try to make it up to me by giving me a q-tip to play with. But then she tooked that away, too, before she left for work. :( I don't think that we are allowed to have any fun today.

Froot Bat Friday
This is me two nights ago. Innocently snoozing on my dad. Not a care in the world. I have no idea what's going to happen to me the next day. At the V-E-T's.
This is me right after we got home from that fateful appointment. I am not happy. I will NOT do froot bat ears. Nope. I'm not even going to look at you, Mom.
Not gonna look. (Hmmm, these look sort of froot batty...) No, no, no. Nope. Not going to be a froot bat this week.
Fine. I'll look at you. But you're not getting any froot bat. None.
::sighs::OK, FINE. But I'm not happy about it. See this face? This is my mean face. I'd watch my back if I were you.

Thursday Thirteen - Edition 45
Here are Thirteen Things about my Thursday, which as you will see, has had its ups and downs:
1. Mom stayed home from her hunting place today, so we took a nap on the couch after breakfast. Just me and Mom. Just like we do on Saturdays. Only today is Thursday. This is very unusual.
2. Dad and Mom and me all hung out on the couch and drank coffee and watched some March Madness baskety-ball stuff. Me and Mom were super bored, so I got lots of belly rubs.
3. Me and Mom watched the girlfriend of the boy next door climb in his bedroom window. We were both shocked. And we ran to get Dad so that he could watch it, too, but he just rolled his eyes. Mom said she thought that that stuff only happened in the movies. And she told me that Mosaic Dawg is not allowed to climb in my bedroom window. Ever. Because we are good and respectable dawgs who come from very nice families. Mom asked Dad if this is what happens in our neighborhood during the day and he said that he didn't know - he doesn't usually stare at the neighbors. And he rolled his eyes at Mom again. heh
4. Mom followed me outside on my after breakfast-outing and ::whispers:: picked up a hunk of my dookie. This is not a good sign. She only does that for one reason - the V-E-T. Crapity crap crap crap.
5. Mom took a shower and got dressed. And put the gooey stuff in her hair. That means she's going somewhere. Usually if she has a day off from the hunting place, she declares it jammy day. (Maybe I should save this one for tattle tail Tuesday?) I started to get a bad feeling about this.
6. She got my harness and leash out. I got very, very excited. Because I thought we were going for a walk. But then she opened the car door. It occurred to me that she might be a very cool Mom today and take me to the park for a walk. We got in the car and drove and drove and drove. This is not a good sign. Because we do not have to drive and drive and drive to get to the park. Crapity crap crap crap.
7. We parked and got out and we were at the V-E-T's office. Grrrrr. Mom let me sniff around the shrubs outside. And then she dropped her car keys on the ground. In what she hopes was mud. heh It grossed her out pretty good. Serves her right as far as I'm concerned today.
8. There were two little sticky beans in the waiting room. One was holding a sucker and one was eating crackers. I wanted to buddy up to them. Mom wouldn't let me. Grrrr. One of them thought I was a wolf. I thought I would've liked to wolf down his crackers. Grrrr.
9. Alicia, the very nice tech, took me and Mom into the back. She told me that I was very handsome. She also told me that I didn't need to be so askeered. Well, Alicia, I don't know about you, but I really don't think anything hurty is going to happen to you today. Unlike me. Yes, I'm mad.
10. My bloods got stoled. And I wouldn't stop bleeding, so I had to get a bandage. Which sucked.
But nobody stuck anything in my spot #13.
11. Dr. C looked at me and poked at me and then stabbed me in the booty with big sharp needles and squirted stuff in my nose. I hate that one. But I snorted and it shot out all over her and Mom. hehe
12. While we were waiting to check out, another very nice tech came out and told me that I was super handsome. She scritchied on my ears and then she came back out with the hugest cookie I've ever seen. It was tasty. It was also nice to be able to enjoy a cookie without having to share the crumbs with a certain speckley kitten.
13. Then we stopped and bought a sammich for Dad. But not one for me. This is not good. Dad was at his friend's work, so we stopped there. Dad came out to get his sammich and then took me in the office. I got lots of attention. It almost made up for the fact that I had to go to the V-E-T. But Dad snuck me a bite of sammich without Mom noticing, so that was ok. While we were at the office place, I met a pretty nice lady. But it was obvious that she didn't have any furbabies at her house. Because when Mom told her that we'd been to the V-E-T, she asked if I had gotten my flea shot. Flea shot! Hahahahahaha! Mom giggled and giggled when we got in the car.
I hope you all have had a better Thursday than I have.

Middle Name Meme
We got tagged by Captain Jack and Dante and the crew over at PB & J (hi Bert! :batting eyes:) for the middle name meme.
Here are the rules:
1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers.
2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. (If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name or your mother's maiden name).
3. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person (or blogger of another species) for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged.)
I will go first. My full name is Tazo Tea Gizmo. Gizmo was the name I had before I got adopted by Momma and Daddy. Momma thought it was a cute name, so she tacked it onto the end.
T - Twin. I am a twin. Well, that's what Momma says because EG and I are littermates.
E - E*lastigirl. My arms can stretch like nobody's business (especially when there's a bowl of cereal involved), just like E*lastigirl in one of Momma's favorite movies, The I*ncredibles. Momma swears that I can reach all the way across the kitchen. hee hee
A - Angel. Momma says I am her sweet, sweet angel.
G - Giant. I have a giant speckle on my head. That's one of Momma's favorite places to scritch.
I - Introverted. I pretty much only like Momma and Daddy and Titus and EG. Anybody else comes over, I head under the bed.
Z - Zippy. I zip around the house like nobody's business. Especially if I hear a askeery noise. Or if I'm playing Thundering Herd of Elephants.
M - Motor. Momma says I have the loudest motor she's ever heard. One night, my purring woke her up. hee hee
O - Outside. I went outside once all by myself. I didn't like it. It askeered me. I feel much safer in the stroller.
EG here. My full name is Earl Grey Phillip. The people who we lived with before called me Phillip. The Mom thought that was a pretty good name, too, so she kept it as my middle name.
P - Polished. I always look polished because I always wear a tuxedo. A grey one.
H - Helpful. I take my snoopervising duties very seriously.
I - Irresistible. I can make my tummy look very, very appealing. And when The Mom comes over for a scritch or a snorgle, BAM! Bunnykick! heh
L - Long. I can make myself very, very long by stretching waaaaaay out. This works best when I lie in the middle of the hallway. In the dark. And The Mom is not expecting it.
L - Lean. I am at a perfect weight. Dad says I am a lean, mean fighting machine. Except no one will let me fight.
I - Ice cream. Vanilla ice cream is the best.thing.ever.
P - Photogenic. I love to have my picture taken. Any where. Any time.
Titus here. My middle name is Theodore.
T - Thinking. I am always thinking of ways to get a snack.
H - Helpful. If Mom is cooking, I am always right by her side, ready to help.
E - Eating. I love to eat. It is the best thing ever.
O - Odor. Mom loves to snorgle me in the neck. But never on top of the head because she says it's a little stinky.
D - Dawg. I am a dawg.
O - Obnoxious. Dad says I can be a little bit obnoxious when he's trying to eat. I do not know what he means. Just because I try to climb in his lap and eat off of his plate doesn't mean I'm obnoxious.
R - RAWR game. This is a very good game. I say RAWR and then Mom says RAWR and it goes on and on until I'm done playing.
E - Ears. I have pink and white froot bat ears, though sometimes they just don't feel very froot batty.
Whew! We are going to tag Bonnie and Victor and Beau and Angie.

Tazo Tuesday
This is a very good nappy spot. Momma put the PTU right next to the heat pipe. I fit perfectly on top of the pipe and the PTU keeps me from falling off. It is very cozy. Now, if I could just get a pillow and blankie...

O'Mancat McMonday
Mancat rule of the day: After your The Mom pours her coffee in the morning, make sure to nonchalantly sample it. It will make her laugh. Really. Yep.

Froot Bat McFriday
Here is the picture from our Wordless O'Wednesday post. See my very tense ears? I am tense because someone *cough*E O'G*cough* is lurking in the shadows, getting ready to chomp on my nice, pink ear. I do not like this chomping business, let me tell you. It is very stressful.
Here is a picture of me last night, on my tower of beds, with my froot bat ears in all their froot battiness. Mom likes this picture because my ears look super pink. And because they are relaxed - because someone *cough*E O'G*cough* is not lurking around behind me. And I also had froot bat ears without any coaxing from Mom at all. So I did not have to hear her saying, "Gimme some froooooot bat, gimme some froooooot bat" over and over. It was a very nice change of pace.
Happy Friday everyone!

Thursday Thirteen - Edition 44
It's been a little rough around our house this week. Momma doesn't do the time change very well. So here are 13 Things (Good and Bad) about Daylight Savings Time:
1. Meals are served one hour earlier. (Good)
2. Titus did not hear the Monday morning breakfast alarm (he usually jumps right up as soon as it goes off). Momma got super askeered and thought that he was, well, it's way too terrible and we're not going to say it out loud. (Bad)
3. Our middle of the night Thundering Herd of Elephants schedule has been seriously thrown off. We haven't done it all week. (Bad)
4. Momma is walking around in a fog and made a mistake and gave us extra kibbles. (Good)
5. Momma changed the batteries in the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and then tested them. And it's super loud and askeery. (Bad)
6. Momma is in such a fog that she allowed us to run dangerously low on kibbles. (BAD)
7. We scored extra stinky goodness because of the kibble shortage. (GOOD)
8. We have not been getting our regularly scheduled play/scritchy time with Momma. (Bad)
9. Momma is so tired that she has been laying around on the couch all week. Which means EXTRA SNUGGLE TIME. (Good)
10. Not much laundry has been done this week, so Tazo's nappy spot on the dryer hasn't been as warm and cozy as usual. (Bad)
11. Our nap schedule is off so Momma keeps poking us and waking us up and asking if we are ok. (Bad)
12. We lost one whole hour of precious nap time. (Bad) But we have been working super hard on making it up. (Good)
13. EXTRA CUDDLE TIME in the mornings because Momma naps on the couch for an hour instead of working out. (Good)

Tired McTazo Tuesday
Momma would like to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. We pretty much kept our promise to not eat anything we're not supposed to. Until I stuck my paw in her raisin bran and flung a bunch all over the kitchen. And then we all went after it. And she freaked out because she didn't know if any raisins got flung all over the kitchen and if we had eaten any. We didn't, but we freaked her out pretty good. I felt a little bad, since she's old now. hee hee
In other news, check out what Maggy and Zoey and their Mom sent us. Sweet! Thank you, Zoolatry!
Happy Tuesday everyone!!

Mancat and The Mom Monday
Although I usually like to lie around on top of high things, like the TV or the shelf by the back door, this is one of my very favorite hanging out spots. One of the hot water pipes runs right under those tiles and it feels super good and warm on the tummy. If I could just get The Mom to put a bed there for me...
In other news, Happy Birthday to The Mom. If she was a dawg, she'd be between 4 and 6. She's, well, heh heh, let's not go there.
Dear The Mom,
As a special gift from your Furry Kids, we promise not to eat anything we're not supposed to today. Thanks for being an all right chick.
Love,
Titus, Tazo, & EG

Dear The Mom,
As a special gift from your Furry Kids, we promise not to eat anything we're not supposed to today. Thanks for being an all right chick.
Love,
Titus, Tazo, & EG

Spring Has (Not) Sprung (Yet)
So Mom wanted to enter this picture in the Simply Siamese Spring Contest. Except she wanted to tweek it a little. And never got around to it. And then found out that voting has started. But I digress. Anyway, today I needed to interrupt our regularly schedule T13 because we wanted to show you what's been going on around here the last couple of days.
On Monday, it was 50° or so here in the old Mitten State. The above picture made us all happy. Green grass, sunshine, smiling white dawg. You get the picture. We were SURE that spring was finally here. heh
Then look what happened Tuesday night - 6" of snow. This is a picture of one of the roads Mom takes to work. It's normally a 4 lane road, but the plows hadn't come through yet, so it was only 2 tracks each way. (And no, she does NOT recommend taking pictures while driving. ha ha)
Here she's going over the overpass - also normally 4 lanes.
Here is a giant pile of snow from a snowplow working on a parking lot. She liked the truck in there for comparison. Look how little it looks. She wanted to go offroading on the snowpile, but there were too many people around. hee hee
We're supposed to get more snow starting tomorrow. So, spring's not here yet. But we're going to keep looking at this picture of a very handsome, white dawg to keep our spirits up.
We hope you all have a great Thursday!

McTazo Tuesday
Getting ready to pounce on the new fishie toy from Skeeter, LC, & Ayla:
Gotcha!
What you are not seeing in the above photos is Titus' nose, inching toward the Temptations. hee hee He likes them as much as we do.
In other news, I am going to tattle on EG today. As annoyed as he seemed with Momma yesterday, he cuddled in her lap for over an hour last night. And purred! I even caught him giving Titus a headbump this morning. He's not such a tough guy. hee hee
In other, other news, we got an awardie from The Ballicai! Thank you! We think you're Toadally Awesome, too. hee hee
We're gonna pass this along to:
Pearl, Bert, Jake, & George
Everyone over at Mosaic Cats, especially Leah (*wink wink* from Titus)
The Gang over at Dr. Tweety's

Thank You and Mancat Monday
Like a squillion years ago, we got a prize package from Skeeter, LC, and Ayla for winning their Guess the Date of their 500th Post contest. This is the super cool note that we got from them.
Here I am reading the note. (It smelled super good - like Temptations).
This is what we got: a fev-ver butt fishie (which is a super, duper hit around here), some pom poms (which we had never seen before, but are super cool!), and guess what? TEMPTATIONS!!! We have never had them before.
Here I am, checking everything out:
HoggingInspecting the fishie toy is a very important task.
Temptations are awesome! We each got one - even Titus. But then The Mom had to put them away because someone kept trying to indiscriminately eat our Temptations all up. *cough*Titus*cough*
Thank you Skeeter, LC, & Ayla! You guys rock!
In other news, it was a rough weekend to be a mancat around our house. On Thursday night, Dad had his hands full and was trying to get in the house. He didn't pay much attention as he was coming in the door. About 10 minutes later, The Mom noticed that one of the Furry Kids was not around. She freaked (or so I'm told, because I'm the one who was missing heh heh). She ran to the backdoor, flung it open, and saw me standing there. OUTSIDE. She grabbed me and looked me all over, and looked through my furs for any cuts and/or mortal wounds and then started crying. She was so askeered that I was gone forever. Whatever. I was just happy to get outside to enjoy the snow. Then the yelling started. At Dad. Oh, boy, I felt bad for him. heh Then I started yelling, which freaked her out even more because she thought maybe I ate something weird while I was outside and was really sick. It was a rough night. The weekend only got worse because she kept fawning over me and bugging Dad to do a head count whenever he walked in the door. It was super annoying. And to top it off, last night she found half a milk jug ring on the floor and can't find the other half. And Dad got yelled at again for leaving it out. It wouldn't be such a huge deal except that today is the one year anniversary of the first day I was sick with my obstruction and the kick off of the month from H-E-double hockey sticks last year. heh heh The next few days should be interesting.
Then this morning, she got mad because we were all up at 4:43 am. Whatever. She made us wait until 5:30 for breakfast, which was rude. Then she was trying to go back to sleep and we were trying to do our patrols. And practice WHAPPING. Sammy, you would have been proud. She got mad and grabbed me and put me under the covers with her. And then the worst thing happened. She covered up her head. And then breathed her awful morning breaths on me. I had to run away. And then whap some more stuff. I couldn't wait for her to leave for work.
