White Mustache Wednesday

It's not a Giambi mustache, but it'll do.

In other news, The Mom dropped off a "sample" to the V-E-T this morning so they can see if our medicines took care of our giardia. We're keeping our paws crossed that we're in the clear.

In other other news, if you've got some extra purrs hanging around, Aunt Jen could use one or two. She had been doing really well, but she got a really bad infection over the weekend and she's back in the hospital. She (and we) would really appreciate it.

Mancat Monday

I have been doing an exceptional amount of grooming this week. Because The Mom has been wiping whatever medicine I spit out onto my furs. I think this is very rude. I like to keep a clean machine, as Parker likes to say. But she has been making it up to me by giving us vanilla yogurt. It's pretty tasty.

Mancat Rule(s) of the Day: Keep your furs clean, spit out your medicines, and make sure to give your The Mom the stink eye every time she walks past.

Mancat Monday - The Goldilocks Edition

I think I look sort of dashing, don't you? I don't have a stoopid embarrassed look like somedawg I know.

In other news, Aunt Jen is getting another bone marrow draw today. They're checking to make sure that she doesn't have any more bad guy cells in her bone marrow. We're purraying and purraying for her today. If anybody has some spare pawsitive thoughts or purrs or purrayers today, we'd really appreciate it if you could send them her way.

Thursday Thirteen - Edition 50

Here are 13 reasons why I'm hissed off.

1. I can't find Lanette's phone number. Don't worry, Dorydoo, it's not like that. I'm just looking for a new The Mom.

2. No one has played red dot with me since Sunday. When Lanette left and never came back.

3. The timed kibble spitter outer has been empty since Sunday. When Lanette left and never came back.

4. Someone (not Lanette) spilled stinky goodness on my head and then proceeded to call me a gooby head.

5. Someone (not Lanette) made up a stoopid, new song. What the paw is an Errol-dy Errol? I don't like it.

6. That Guy squirted me with a water bottle last night. I was only trying to get a taste of his cereal.

7. The litterboxes are only getting scooped once a day again. Lanette scooped twice a day.

8. I got yelled at for putting the bitey on Titus' ankle. It's not my fault he screamed like a little girl. And it's not like I put the bitey on one of those precious, pink ears.

9. The new flashy box is terrible. That Woman has no idea how to work it. She played with the flash and now it just makes this horrible, lightning-ish flashy thing over and over and over. And then the pictures come out like yesterday's. It's terrible. How is everyone supposed to enjoy pictures of my handsome tuxedo if the pictures are all dark and blurry?

10. That Woman has been way to busy to help us visit our friends. If she's not at the hunting place or out having a romantical weekend or at the hospital with Aunt Jen, then she's sleeping. Or trying to sleep. See #12. heh heh

11. Lanette gave us lots more temptations than That Woman does. We haven't even had any since Monday. What the paw?

12. Lanette wouldn't yell at us for playing Thundering Herd of Elephants at 3:52 am.

13. Lanette wouldn't gag while cleaning up a poo spot off the carpet. She would understand that sometimes you just gotta scoot across the carpet. heh heh

Thursday Thirteen - Edition 44

It's been a little rough around our house this week. Momma doesn't do the time change very well. So here are 13 Things (Good and Bad) about Daylight Savings Time:

1. Meals are served one hour earlier. (Good)

2. Titus did not hear the Monday morning breakfast alarm (he usually jumps right up as soon as it goes off). Momma got super askeered and thought that he was, well, it's way too terrible and we're not going to say it out loud. (Bad)

3. Our middle of the night Thundering Herd of Elephants schedule has been seriously thrown off. We haven't done it all week. (Bad)

4. Momma is walking around in a fog and made a mistake and gave us extra kibbles. (Good)

5. Momma changed the batteries in the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and then tested them. And it's super loud and askeery. (Bad)

6. Momma is in such a fog that she allowed us to run dangerously low on kibbles. (BAD)

7. We scored extra stinky goodness because of the kibble shortage. (GOOD)

8. We have not been getting our regularly scheduled play/scritchy time with Momma. (Bad)

9. Momma is so tired that she has been laying around on the couch all week. Which means EXTRA SNUGGLE TIME. (Good)

10. Not much laundry has been done this week, so Tazo's nappy spot on the dryer hasn't been as warm and cozy as usual. (Bad)

11. Our nap schedule is off so Momma keeps poking us and waking us up and asking if we are ok. (Bad)

12. We lost one whole hour of precious nap time. (Bad) But we have been working super hard on making it up. (Good)

13. EXTRA CUDDLE TIME in the mornings because Momma naps on the couch for an hour instead of working out. (Good)

Happy Thursday to everyone!

Mancat and The Mom Monday

Although I usually like to lie around on top of high things, like the TV or the shelf by the back door, this is one of my very favorite hanging out spots. One of the hot water pipes runs right under those tiles and it feels super good and warm on the tummy. If I could just get The Mom to put a bed there for me...

In other news, Happy Birthday to The Mom. If she was a dawg, she'd be between 4 and 6. She's, well, heh heh, let's not go there.

Dear The Mom,
As a special gift from your Furry Kids, we promise not to eat anything we're not supposed to today. Thanks for being an all right chick.
Love,
Titus, Tazo, & EG

Thursday Thirteen - Edition 43

In light of the recent events that have caused EG to give Momma the "back of disrespect," (hee hee) we present:

Thirteen Nicknames that have been uttered in our house this week:

1. Errol Grey: Momma's been on an Errol Flynn kick lately, and let's just say that it's not boding well for EG.

2. Mr. Angry Butt Fur: Titus's butt furs have been sticking up a little when he comes in from outside lately (Because someone has been attacking me as soon as I come in the door *cough*EG*cough*)

3. Speckle/Speckle Kitt'en: I like it when Momma says, "Speeeeeeckle! Where's my Speckle?" And then I hide. hee hee

4. Eggie: EG doesn't like it when Momma says, "Where's my Eggie?" or when she says she likes her Eggies sunny side up and then tries to smooch on his white belly. hee hee

5. Quivvy Tail: Momma can get Titus to do quivvy tail just about every time she asks, "Where's my Quivvy?"

6. Mr. Whiskers: A couple of years ago, there was a grocery store commercial that showed a white bunny on like a produce review board, and one of the board members said, "Mr. Whiskers says bring the lettuce closer." It made Momma giggle so much that she started calling Titus "Mr. Whiskers."

7. Widdle One/Widdle Big One: As in, Little One and Little Big One. Only you have to say these as fast as possible in a high pitched, sing song voice. Me and EG are "Widdle One" and Titus is "Widdle Big One" because he's, well, bigger.

8. Bizzy Boy: When Momma first heard "Bizzy for Gizzy," it was over for Titus. He became Bizzy Booooooyyyyyeeeee (sort of like how Flavor Flav says "boy").

9. Thpeckle Baby/Gwey Baby/White Baby Boooyyyeee: Oh.my.paw. This one is a widdle little embarrassing.

10. Smoke Stack: The yappy dawg next door is named Smokey and Daddy always calls him Smoke Stack. But it's more like, "Geez, Smoke Stack," or "Shut up, Smoke Stack." hee hee

11. Scout, Scout, Let It All Out: The cool dawg across the street is Scout. So whenever she's outside, Daddy sings the Tears for Fears song, but with "Scout" instead of "shout." It makes her momma giggle.

12. Boo Bear: This is what Momma calls Daddy. Don't tell him we told you.

13. Boo T: This is what Daddy calls Momma. It stands for Boo The Bear, but he shortened it to Boo T. Momma gets very embarrassed when he calls her that in public - because people think he's calling her Booty. Hahahahahaha!
