Mancat Monday
The weekend started out kinda rough. I had to go to the v-e-t on Saturday. The Mom wanted to make sure everything was ok with me because I had such a bad week. The wonderful Dr P looked me over real good and then she and Dad and The Mom talked lots about what might be going on with me and why I'm taking it out on Titus. They decided that for now they were going to treat it as me getting agitated by the roaming neighborhood cats. Dad and The Mom went out Saturday night and bought more feliway diffusers and some spray for the yard. She sprayed the front yard with this citronella/garlic spray all around where she'd seen those roaming cats. But The Mom was still freaking out because she wasn't 100% sure what was going on.
But then, we got a break in the case! Saturday night, Dad opened the door to let Titus out before bed and immediately slammed the door shut. There was a giant cat lying on the patio RIGHT BY THE DOOR. INSIDE the fence. So The Mom locked me in the litterbox room AGAIN and she went outside. The cat had moved to the outside of the fence, but he was still hanging around. The Mom grabbed the squirt bottle and started squirting the cat and he wouldn't leave! He just walked under her car and laid there, staring at her. She kept blasting him with water and he wouldn't budge. She finally got him to move farther down the driveway and then came in the house. I was real HISSED OFF, so we all had to be separated for the night.
Yesterday, The Mom was talking to Aunt Jen and she suggested that since that cat has been so close to the house, Titus is probably picking up strange cat smell on him when he's outside doing his bizness and then bringing it into the house which is really hissing me off. Plus, The Mom is now convinced that he's eating that strange cat's kitty box crunchies out of the flower bed. Which is contributing to the strange cat smell he's bringing in the house.
So Dad and The Mom are working hard to keep those roaming cats away from Casa de Furry Kids and they're spraying all kinds of feliway all over the furniture and we're just hoping that those cats leave us alone soon. It's kinda fun to be hissed off once in a while, but I'm getting real tired of being hissed off all the time. Go away, roaming cats! Go away!!!

Thieves! On Thursday!
Tazo started to post today, but then she got too distraught. I kinda feel bad for her. In fact, I didn't even put the bitey on her last night. Am I going soft? But I digress.
Remember the crispy 'nip that The Mom kept forgetting to water? Well, she finally watered it and brought it back to life. You'd think we'd be relieved, right? Well, we're not. And here's why.
On Monday, she gave the 'nip a haircut, so that she could try drying it. Sounds promising, right? Wrong! Well, it was sort of wet because it had rained, so she took all that 'nip and laid it out on the front porch to dry (because she claims that if she would've brought it in the house we wouldn't have left it alone. Whatever). Still sounds ok, right? WRONG!
The next morning when she went out to gather it up to take to work (and I don't know why she doesn't think she can't dry it at home - we would never think of trying to get it or standing in front of the closet door and yelling. No we would not!), she noticed that it was scattered all over the front yard. This was a little bit of disturbing news to us. And, of course, she was running late so she left the 'nip, OUR 'nip that we've been waiting for all summer, scattered ALL.OVER.THE.YARD. She promised that it would be ok and that she'd take care of it when she got home from work.
So do you think that she "took care of it when she got home from work?" No, she most certainly did not. She had some lame excuse about it being dark and blah blah blah. She said she would take care of it in the morning. I'd heard that before and well, we all know what happened the night before.
So the next morning, she goes out to gather up the 'nip and guess what? Surprise, surprise. It's gone. All gone. Not even one little measly leaf. Somecat stole our 'nip! And what did she do? Did she go looking for our 'nip? Did she call the police? Did she call the FBI? Did she call the National Guard? No. She started laughing. And she laughed and laughed. And she laughed even more when Dad told her that he'd heard something rustling outside when he was watching TV real late the night before. Um, Dad. That RUSTLING was SOMECAT STEALING OUR NIP!!! I do not see how this is a laughing matter. (She claims that she was on the lookout for googly-eyed kittehs when she headed out for work, but whatever)
I don't know who would do that. Who steals someone else's 'nip? There's been this black cat that we've seen around the neighborhood and I thought it was Bendrix, but now I don't think it's Bendrix, because Bendrix WOULDN'T.STEAL.OUR.NIP. Dad thinks maybe it was Hairy Tazo, but The Mom says she hasn't seen her for a while. I don't know. I just wish that whoever tooked our nip would just bring it back. No questions asked. And Tazo's been so upset that she's gone all Victorian on me and has taken to her bed. Bert, can you come over today and help me out? You might be able to get her to snap out of it.

Thursday Thirteen - Edition 50
Here are 13 reasons why I'm hissed off.
1. I can't find Lanette's phone number. Don't worry, Dorydoo, it's not like that. I'm just looking for a new The Mom.
2. No one has played red dot with me since Sunday. When Lanette left and never came back.
3. The timed kibble spitter outer has been empty since Sunday. When Lanette left and never came back.
4. Someone (not Lanette) spilled stinky goodness on my head and then proceeded to call me a gooby head.
5. Someone (not Lanette) made up a stoopid, new song. What the paw is an Errol-dy Errol? I don't like it.
6. That Guy squirted me with a water bottle last night. I was only trying to get a taste of his cereal.
7. The litterboxes are only getting scooped once a day again. Lanette scooped twice a day.
8. I got yelled at for putting the bitey on Titus' ankle. It's not my fault he screamed like a little girl. And it's not like I put the bitey on one of those precious, pink ears.
9. The new flashy box is terrible. That Woman has no idea how to work it. She played with the flash and now it just makes this horrible, lightning-ish flashy thing over and over and over. And then the pictures come out like yesterday's. It's terrible. How is everyone supposed to enjoy pictures of my handsome tuxedo if the pictures are all dark and blurry?
10. That Woman has been way to busy to help us visit our friends. If she's not at the hunting place or out having a romantical weekend or at the hospital with Aunt Jen, then she's sleeping. Or trying to sleep. See #12. heh heh
11. Lanette gave us lots more temptations than That Woman does. We haven't even had any since Monday. What the paw?
12. Lanette wouldn't yell at us for playing Thundering Herd of Elephants at 3:52 am.
13. Lanette wouldn't gag while cleaning up a poo spot off the carpet. She would understand that sometimes you just gotta scoot across the carpet. heh heh

Tired Tuesday
It's cold. There's snow everywhere. There are no squirrels or birds to watch. I'm feeling a nap coming on.
In other news:
EG's sort of mad at Tazo. Because he says she was whapping him in the head while he was being choked by that horrible, pink bag from yesterday's post. (She says that she was not whapping him - she was only trying to help.) And EG's kind of mad at Mom again, because while he was being choked by the horrible, pink bag, she grabbed the camera and took pictures instead of trying to help. She says that he looked like he was having fun and didn't seem to be in any real danger. And if he was freaking out she would've helped him instead of taking pictures. Let me tell you - it was not a whole lot of fun at our house last night. I just tried to lay low until Dad got home.
PS - If anyone would like a Christmas/holiday card, please e-mail your snail mail address to us at thefurrykids AT gmail DOT com
PS 2 - And Momma wants us to tell you that she doesn't expect cards back, so if you're not sending out cards this year, but still want one from us that's perfectly fine. We have plenty to go around. She ordered like a squillion.
