Thursday Thirteen - Edition 56

Here's 13 thoughts I've been thinking since *last* Thursday.

1. I heard The Mom say that the VICIOUS AND RABID GOLDEN RETRIEVERS are moving away. Whew! The neighborhood will be safe again without that HORRIBLE BAND OF VICIOUS AND RABID GOLDEN RETRIEVERS ROAMING the streets. VICIOUSLY .

2. Banana-flavored medicine and chicken-flavored medicine do not taste like bananas OR chicken. They taste like a word that I'm not allowed to say. (Dear Aunt Bee, if you want me to send my clavamox to you for Sarge, then I'm on it. It's a banana-flavored antibiotic, and it may give him the squirts, just to let you know. But I'd be happy to pawn it off on Sarge mail it to you.)

3. It's kinda fun to watch The Mom "dig for treasures" in the litterbox every day.

4. Woman! If you take a picture of me as an "EG-burrito/Tiny One Week Old Baby", I just might claw your eyes out. And the fact that you give me a big, old smooch on the top of the head every time DOES NOT MAKE IT ANY LESS EMBARRASSING. (The Mom's note: He just looks soooo cute all wrapped up in the towel we have to use to give him his meds. It's just so adorable. I just know that Dorydoo would love to see a picture of him. )

5. ::singing:: A HANDFUL (hint, hint The Mom) of greenies makes the medicine go down, the medicine go down-wown, the medicine go down...

6. I'm looking into the evil twin thing. You know, like Mr Hendrix has Bendrix. But I'm having trouble coming up with a name for him. Then again, I do have a real twin sister. Hmmm. Why didn't I think of that before? I could just blame everything on Tazo *and* get her to take my medicine for me. heh heh Then again, I'm not sure she's got that "evil twin" look about her. Anybody have any suggestions?

7. If you look really pathetic, The Mom will drop everything and give you lots of attention. And then you can give her the bitey with a side of bunnykicking.

8. I have not had stinky goodness since June 22. That should be a crime. I'm totally jonesin' for some Grammy's Pot Pie. To add insult to injury, The Mom even stopped making boiled burger or chicken and rice for me. What the paw?????

9. I just can't get a good "dig to China" thing going in the stoopid, new litterboxes The Mom insists on using. We did luck out on the Breeze Box thing here. The Mom was considering it, but the whole 'tocks issue + pellets really creeped her out. Whew! We dodged that one for sure!

10. My name is Earl Grey NOT Errol Grey.

11. It's super fun to watch The Mom freak out when I pretend to eat out of the litterbox. heh heh

12. We got Titus used to waking up at 4:37 am and now we can sleep in. He gets everyone up at 4:37 am and then The Mom gets crabby at his good two shoes self, instead of me.

13. What, The Mom? I am *not* crabby.

In other news, Aunt Jen got to go home yesterday! Wahoo! Your purrs really worked. She still has her infection, but it's lots better. She can't get her chemo next week like her doctor planned, but she does get to stay home, hang with her kitty, Molly, and hopefully grow some more white blood cells. Thanks again for the awesome purrs!

Thursday Thirteen - Edition 52

Since our tummy clocks have been set ahead for the last couple of weeks (meaning we're ready to eat around 4:30 instead of 5:30), we (mostly EG) pester Momma until she caves in and feeds us. After we eat, we both bathe for 20-25 minutes, and then we play Thundering Herd of Elephants. So we're in an all-out, high speed, loud-stomping game by 5:05 or so. Unfortunately, Momma is not on the same page since she likes to go right back to bed (something about not really having to get up until 6:50), so she gets a little crabby for some reason. Here's a list of things heard around our house between the hours of 4 and 7 am:

1. EG! No! (As EG is pushing books off the dresser onto Titus' head)
2. You snot! (Directed at EG)
3. No bite! (Also directed at EG when he gives Momma's toes the bitey)
4. Lay down! (Futile attempt to get us to go back to sleep)
5. It's not time yet. (Directed at all of us once we get Titus all riled up)
6. Oh, for the love of cat.
7. Ow! (Directed at EG after he chomps Momma's toes)
8. Why don't you get your Dad up? Why is it always Momma? Why? Why? Why?
9. Did you guys have speed for breakfast? (After we had played THofE for close to two hours - hee hee)
10. Go night night. It's still night night time.
11. Grrrrr.
12. Can't we just sleep in til regular time?
13. EG, you keep doing this, you need to learn how to make coffee.

Furious Froot Bat Friday

I am furious. Someone put the bitey on my ear last night. Again. What the paw? What did I do? Um, NOTHING! Just because EG's mad at Mom doesn't mean he has to take it out on me. He did get a time out for it, though. After he put the bitey on Mom's arm (and left a bruise! - he never did that before) and on her tummy. And on my ear. So maybe I shouldn't have teased him the other night about being afraid of chicken. But seriously, who is afraid of chicken? Chicken is tasty. Did someone say chicken? I gotta go to the kitchen right now. Happy Friday!

Thursday Thirteen - Edition 27

Thirteen Things Heard While We Were Pimping Our Stroller:

1. Oh, crap! It's starting to rain. How are we supposed to pimp this inside? *growling* (from Momma) hee hee

2. EG! Stop eating the spider web!

3. No! No! No! EG!! No, Eggie, no!

4. Aaaah! Daddy, could you please come here and help me? EG's helping a little too much.

5. We're not allowed to say this word.

6. Tazo! Drop that bat!

7. I hate this spider web stuff. What was I thinking?

8. We're not allowed to say this word either.

9. Next year, we're getting Aunt Jen to help.

10. Put down that bat!

11. Another word we're not allowed to say.

12. Ow! He bit me!

13. Titus, you're such a good baby boy.

Thursday Thirteen - Edition 11

Daisy posted about a potentially embarrassing incident that happened to her recently. Titus started thinking about all the stuff that's been broken around the house in the last 20 months or so and thought it would be good for a Thursday Thirteen post.

Hey, Earl Grey! Didn't we come to live here about 20 months ago?

Anyway, we decided to do our TT this week on the stuff we've broken. It's pretty much about me and EG because Titus is a goody two shoes and never breaks stuff. He's just an "indiscriminant eater" :giggles:. That's what it says on his chart at the V-E-T. :giggles:

So, without further ado, we present to you our Thursday Thirteen:

Thirteen Things Around The House That Have Been Broken

1. First up, we have Titus' special Happy Birthday Piggy that Daddy bought for him. I pulled the ears off and then Titus went to town on the guts. Momma saved the ears for me because they are my favorite thing in the world (aside from jingle balls, of course).

2. Earl Grey broke Momma's collage picture frame. The one with all the pictures of us in it. She didn't get out the flashy box for that, though. She was too worried that we'd walk in the glass.

3. This is the laundry hamper. Or what's left of it. Wicker is pretty tasty. Who knew?

4. I broke one of our water dishes last week (see #11 of last week's TT). I was just trying to chase my jingle ball under the tray thing and I just happen to be a little floofier around the middle and the tray tipped over and, well, I don't want to talk about that any more.

5. I chewed through the cable and the power cord on the cable box.* We had to get a new cable box. We really need to get a new cable, too, because sometimes we don't get good reception on TV or um, internet service. That cuts into our blogging time.

6. This is the new flooring for the office. See the open box on the top of the pile? We opened that box all by ourselves. It was great! If you look closely at the smaller boxes underneath, you can see that they're kind of scratched up. A little. I use those to stretch out my back after a long day of napping. You know, dig in with your claws and then sort of hang there while you stretch out your back, and then draaaaaagggg your claws down the side of it. It's very relaxing. :whispers: I also use it as a scratching post. Pretty much every day when Momma gets home from work. And before meals.

7. This is the mousie that Momma and Daddy used to use. Notice how the pluggie thing that plugs into the back of the computer is missing? EG chomped the cord right in half while Momma was using the computer. It was fun listening to all the words that she said.

8. We broke Momma's very special Nightmare Before Christmas figurine when we were kicking her beloved Steve Yzerman bobble head off the mantle. It was very expensive and Daddy got it for her for her birthday last year. She was very sad that Jack Skellington took a tumble and his head fell off. We think it's pretty lucky that Jack Skellington sacrificed himself so that Yzerman could live. :shrugging:

9. This is the shade in Momma and Daddy's bedroom. We ripped it. It's just easier to look out the window now.

10. This is the cord from the DVD player.* Or maybe it was Daddy's PS2? (I chomped them both. It's hard to keep track of these things, you know.) Notice how one of the yellow plug things is missing? Yep, I chomped it right off. Whee!

11. We're very embarrassed about this one. Plus, it makes Momma very sad. Momma And Daddy had a dawg that went to the Bridge last year. We were investigating the ashes (which were on top of the dresser in the bedroom) and they accidently flew off the dresser and onto the floor and the box flipped open and the plastic bag came out and we love to chew plastic and well, we accidently scattered some of Shadow's ashes all over the bedroom floor. This did not make Momma all that happy. Needless to say, Shadow's ashes are now kept *in* the dresser and not *on* the dresser.

12. This is the floor tile that cracked the other day when we were flinging stuff out of the freezer. We were hoping that Daddy wouldn't notice because that sort of thing upsets him. Momma tried to help us by putting down a rug, but Daddy figured out something was wrong since he knows that Momma hates rugs. He didn't get too mad though. I guess we caught him in a good mood because he even laughed.

13. Lastly, Titus broke a nail. He doesn't remember how he did it, but it broke and his foot was hurty and bleedy and he was mad because Momma had to trim his nail and he hates that.

As you can probably tell, we like to keep busy. Every time something turns up broken, Daddy says, "My cats (meaning the ones from when he was little) never did anything like that." Momma, who never had kitties before, doesn't know what to think. Whenever she tells anyone about stuff we do, they just laugh and tell her that they've never heard of kitties doing that kind of stuff. Well, they never met us. Hahahahaha!

Ok, that was pretty embarrassing. I'm outta here.
Love,
Tazo

*Just so nobody worries about me or anything, I'm over my cord-chewing phase. That just happened while I was teething. And until Momma put habenero pepper sauce on all the cords.

Tummy, Toes, & Tinkle Tuesday

It’s already been a super busy Tuesday in Furry Kid Land this morning. First, check out my tummy. This is one of Momma’s favorite poses. Whenever I do this, Momma always says, “Good evening,” in a vampire-y accent because she says I look like I should be in a Dracula movie or wearing a little cape or something. It makes Daddy laugh. Maybe you just gotta be there. :)

Second, Titus, Earl Grey, and I set our tummy clocks back a little last night before we went to bed. So they went off at 5:11 am and woke us up. (Usually, they go off a little before Momma’s breakfast alarm goes off, but we just amuse ourselves by tearing around the house, while she begs us to nap for a few more minutes.) We all decided that we couldn’t wait for the breakfast alarm, so EG took it upon himself to wake up Momma in a different way. Her toes were sticking out of the covers (which is very rare at our house since Momma always has freezy toes), so he put the bitey on them. She didn’t really wake up right away, so he had to grab her foot, put the bitey on her toes, and then bunny kick her foot. And guess what?! It worked! She jumped out of bed really quick and then fed us to keep us quiet. Score!!!

And lastly, heh heh, we got Momma back for trying to get ideas on how to keep us out of the kitchen while she cooks. Heh heh heh Somebody (and we’re not saying who ~ well, except that it wasn’t Titus because he’s a goody two shoes) peed on the carpet just outside of the litterbox room while she was in the shower. Whee! See, in addition to gathering all sorts of information on how to keep us from getting good snacks while she cooks helping her in the kitchen, she dared to add clean litter to the litterboxes, without covering the new litter with the a little bit of old. Grrrr. We thought we had her trained. Mommas – can’t live with ‘em, can’t live without ‘em.

Love,
Tazo

P.S. – Momma says thank you to everyone who offered advice to her Tell Momma Monday question. She’s going to be firm and consistent and fill that squirt bottle up.
