Tazo Tuesday - The Archives

Here is an old picture of me because I still do not like the new flashy box. Momma is wondering if I will ever pose for her again. (The answer is nope.)

In other news, there was lots and lots of screaming and dancing at our house last night. In Aunt Jen's own words, here's the update:

I’m going home!!!!!!!!!

In a very unexpected twist of events since my post 2 days ago, my WBC did an amazing turn around and my counts have recovered to the point that I no longer need any special precautions that the hospital has been providing for me. There are no givens, as everything is dependent upon how my body responds, but my doc is estimating that I will have almost a full two weeks home before my next round of inpatient chemo. I will need one more marrow draw early next week, which is what they call the “remission marrow”--please pray that it is clean and I am deemed to be in full remission.

This summer will be a long one of blood draws, transfusions, and several rounds of chemo, but I’m looking forward to the blessings that I will find along the way. I’m so excited to get outside and smell the fresh air; I mostly look forward to the recovery of my energy level so that I can become a bit more active again. But these are really the trivial things in the scope of the big picture. The best blessings found among the worst circumstances can’t be put into words until they actually happen to us-- and I think there is a magnificence in how God places those opportunities unexpectedly in our paths.

She also wanted to thank you all for your prayers and purrs and thoughts for her - it really means a lot. Oh, and of course, the Cat Blogosphere ROCKS!!
