Tazo Tuesday - The Archives

Here is an old picture of me because I still do not like the new flashy box. Momma is wondering if I will ever pose for her again. (The answer is nope.)

In other news, there was lots and lots of screaming and dancing at our house last night. In Aunt Jen's own words, here's the update:

I’m going home!!!!!!!!!

In a very unexpected twist of events since my post 2 days ago, my WBC did an amazing turn around and my counts have recovered to the point that I no longer need any special precautions that the hospital has been providing for me. There are no givens, as everything is dependent upon how my body responds, but my doc is estimating that I will have almost a full two weeks home before my next round of inpatient chemo. I will need one more marrow draw early next week, which is what they call the “remission marrow”--please pray that it is clean and I am deemed to be in full remission.

This summer will be a long one of blood draws, transfusions, and several rounds of chemo, but I’m looking forward to the blessings that I will find along the way. I’m so excited to get outside and smell the fresh air; I mostly look forward to the recovery of my energy level so that I can become a bit more active again. But these are really the trivial things in the scope of the big picture. The best blessings found among the worst circumstances can’t be put into words until they actually happen to us-- and I think there is a magnificence in how God places those opportunities unexpectedly in our paths.

She also wanted to thank you all for your prayers and purrs and thoughts for her - it really means a lot. Oh, and of course, the Cat Blogosphere ROCKS!!

White Dawg Wednesday

Mom says this picture sort of reminds her of Alfred Hitchcock. She says it seems like I should be saying, "Good eeeevening." Whatever.

In other news, Aunt Jen found out last night that the chemo induction that she had two weeks ago got rid of the bad guys in her bone marrow, so she doesn't have to do another round of 24/7 chemo. Mom was screaming and screaming and dancing around the house. It really hurted my delicious, pink ears. The doctors are going to give her medicines to boost her immune system starting tomorrow and hopefully she can go home in 10-14 days. She has to have more chemo over the next few months to make sure that the bad guys stay away, but she's headed in the right direction. Thank you all for your thoughts and purrayers. White Feets and Wordy Wednesday

Still no luck with the new flashy box. For those who asked, it's an O*lympus E*volt E410 (without the starry things). And The Mom has no idea how to work the thing. BECAUSE SHE WON'T GET WITH THE PROGRAM AND POST SOME NEW PICTURES OF ME, I have put together a small pictorial of what's going on. Please also note that these pictures are AT LEAST A SQUILLION years old. :sigh:

Here is a picture of my feets. It's not a bad picture. I think it shows off my white feets quite nicely. For White Feets Wednesday. This is the kind of picture that we should be featuring on our blog.

However, we seem to be getting quite a lot of these pictures lately. Blurry, ghosty, ick-tastic. The Mom is really quite a disappointment lately. Whatevs.

In other news, we've got lots of stuff to post, IF THE MOM WOULD GET HER 'TOCKS IN GEAR. I'm trying to be patient, but holy cats, she's causing us to be really behind.

In other, other news, Aunt Jen starts chemo today. She's doing a seven day induction treatment, which means she gets the drugs constantly for the next seven days. If you guys have some extra woofs, purrs, and/or purrayers to send her way, it would be really appreciated.

Opie - In Loving Memory

Aunt Jen's other kitty, Opie, unexpectedly crossed the bridge on April 4, 2007. It happened a little over a month after his brother, Oliver, crossed the bridge. Opie was a very handsome man cat, who loved to play with his squeaky birdy fishing pole and drink out of the bathroom faucet. He also had one black whisker, which we thought was pretty cool since he was orange and white with pink paw pads and a pink nose. Aunt Jen is very, very sad. We're keeping her in our thoughts and purrayers.
