'Tocks and Tazo Toesday

EG here. Yesterday was horrible. I got shoved in a PTU, The Mom was carrying around evidence of my 'tocks trouble in a ziplock bag, and I had to go to the V-E-T. I did get to see Dr. P, who, of course, told me how handsome I am and gave me scritches. I got weighed and am still a lean, mean, 10 pound 2 oz machine. Then they stuck something in my spot 13. The Mom held my head and talked to me, like that would make it better. Then I got poked in my belly and prodded. Then they took pictures of my insides and stoled my blood and ::whispers:: pee. It was horrible. I got horrible prescription food and horrible "chicken flavor" medicine.

After we got home, The Mom tried to make me eat that horrible prescription food and I wouldn't do it. She freaked out and called Dad and he brought ground beef (sirloin!) and rice home and cooked it up for me. My Dad rocks. I got some at 9:30 and it was pretty good. I fought when I had to get my medicine (heh heh) and The Mom has the scratches to prove it. I secretly think she was happy that I put up a fight. I chowed down on my bednight snack which made her and Dad happy, too.

This morning I woke her up a little before 5 and she didn't yell at me or nothing. Me and Tazo yelled at her to hurry up and feed us - just like we do every morning. She was trying to give Tazo kibble and my special food to me and I kept stealing Tazo's kibbles so that made her happy, too. I ate my breakfast and then took a bath like I always do. The Mom was very happy.

I scratched her some more when she made me a EG burrito so Dad could give me the icky medicine. I fought the medicine more than I ever had. I did the flat ears *and* the twitchy tail. I could tell that The Mom was askeered. heh heh

I think I'm back to normal. The Mom told me that she's going to be watching me like a hawk. Dad is under strict instructions to keep an eye on me and make sure that I'm still perky. Whatever. Tazo's still hissing at me and whapping me on the head. But this morning, I chased her back down the hall and whapped her on the head right back. The Mom thinks she's probably going to have her hands full for a couple of days. heh heh

Thank you all for the thoughts and purrayers. It really means a lot to all of us. And they totally work because I'm feeling lots better. You guys rock!

And without further adieu, may I present:

Tazo's Toes

  18. Oh, my sweet, sweet Earl!

You have been sick, and I just found out -- I am so, so sorry I'm so slow on the uptake! Mom got busy and got behind on our blogging and visiting, and I'm going to give her lots and lots of hisses because I didn't know you were sick.

I'm purring my hardest for you, handsome, and I'm glad you're feeling better. I don't blame you for fighting the meds -- I've never had to have medicine yet but I do need hairball remedy from time to time and I... HATE... IT! You and I are birds of a feather... wait, we are cats of a fur!

Mom sends your Mom lots of hugs -- she understands how worried she must have been. I hope your (very cute) tocks feel better and better and better.

And again, I'm so sorry I'm slow on the uptake. All my heart full of purrs and love to you!

And worlds of whisker kisses to you, too.

(((((((((hugs)))))))))), love, and cuddles from Dorydoo.
