Mancat Monday
Mancat Rule of the Day:
A mancat sometimes needs to use his sister as a pillow.

Thank you for all the comments on Friday about the delicious-ness of Titus' ears. See what I mean? They are pink and froot batty and just irresistibly delicious. I can not be held responsible if I take a little nibble. heh heh

Toe-Hawkless Tuesday
Last week, these were my toes. Notice the toe-hawk that I'm sporting. I've been working on it for months. (Sorry for the weird picture - Mom was "trying out" some photography stuff. :rolling eyes: Usually, we try to spare you guys her "experiments," but in this case, it couldn't really be helped since this is the best picture we have of my toe-hawk.)
Apparently, Dad noticed my super duper toe-hawk, too. Because he got some scissors and oh.my.paw. Check out what he did:
Look at my poor, naked, toe-hawkless toes. The horror! This is so embarrassing. I put up with a lot around here. My poor, delicious, pink ears take quite a beating. Someone *cough*EG*cough* is always trying to grab my tail. I only get fed twice a day. I could go on and on. I can't believe what he did to me. All because he didn't want me "to slip on the floor." Dude! What the paw? And it's not even EVEN! And to add insult to injury, he was trying to get Mom to give me tummy scritches while he was cutting on my toe-hawk. Like that would make a difference. I give her props, though, because she told him that this was his project and she wasn't having any part of it. hehe
Tazo here: On a lighter note, here is a picture of me looking out the window. For TAZO TUESDAY. Ahem. Yes, TAZO TUESDAY.

Mancat Monday
A mancat should always be ready to pounce: on your sister, on an unsuspecting dawg (heh heh), on your dad's toes. You should always be prepared.

Froot Bat Friday
Mom got some suggestions (but I am not revealing their identities since I fear that EG will retaliate against them - BUT you KNOW who you are) this week on how to get EG to stop biting my delicious, pink ears. hehe So she and I sat down and did the math. This is what we came up with:
Happy Friday!

Thursday Thirteen - Edition 48
After everything that happened last weekend around the blogosphere, we wanted to make our T13 a thankful one. Here's thirteen things we're thankful for:
1. Although we didn't know Miral that long, we're thankful that we did get to meet her. We're also thankful that she's not sick any more, even though we're sad that she went to the Bridge.
2. Lilly Lu, Mu Shue, & Iris making it through the fire and being reunited with Mom Laura. We're also thankful for the fire fighters and police officers that helped reunite them.
3. Chin, tummy, and ear scritches
4. Open windows
5. Strollering
6. Salmon! Oh, and vanilla ice cream!
7. Looking out the front door (which is always closed when it's cold outside) and being able to check out what's going on in the neighborhood
8. All of our friends (and their parents) on the blogosphere - purring works miracles
9. Hugs from Momma and Daddy
10. Sunbathing in the family room sunspots
11. EG not chomping Titus' ears for a whole 10 hours
12. Having a Momma and Daddy who love us lots and always want to do what's best for us
13. Being able to help Momma get up early for work every day this week (4:30 am at the latest). It's cool that we can make sure that she has 3-1/2 hours to get ready. hee hee

Tired Tuesday
The other day, our friend, Beethoven, posted a bunch of pictures of his cool sleeping positions. He was super cute. He had a neat idea and we thought it sounded like fun. Here's what he had to say:
Here's me in my vampire-y pose.
Here's Titus all bundled up.
Here's Titus looking sort of vampire-y, but not as askeery as I am in the first picture. hee hee
Here's EG trying to hog my favoritest nappy spot in the litterbox on top of the dryer.
Hee hee
And just for Bert, a picture of me for Tazo Tuesday.
Happy Tuesday to everyone!
I've a suggestion.
Why don't you guys who want to play, post your most creative sleeping poses on your bloggies and leave your links in my comments?
I've always wondered if other kitties sleep like me or the Giant Kitty

Thursday Thirteen - Edition 47
THINK SPRING!
We thing spring might finally be here in the Mitten State. Here's thirteen things that make us think so:
1. The sun has been shining, giving us great sunspots in which to warm our furs.
2. The Stripey Motor City Kitties are on a losing streak. 0-7 as of 8 pm last night. Please do not confuse them with the other Motor City Kitties that also tend to lose a lot of games. hee hee
3. The days are getting longer, which means that we're probably going to have to play Thundering Herd of Elephants starting around 2 am instead of 3 am. That's really going to cut into our nap time.
4. STROLLERING!!!
5. There have been lots of dawgs being walked in the neighborhood. Ripley the Greyhound was even out without his coat on Sunday.
6. The grass is sort of maybe getting green.
7. Dad has been wearing shorts, even though Momma is still wearing long sleeve t-shirts and sweatshirts and her wool socks. Because she is always cold.
8. Did we mention STROLLERING???!!!
9. The Detroit Red Wings' first round playoffs start tonight!!!
10. There was a Hairy Tazo sighting the other afternoon.
11. Open windows and fresh air.
12. ROAMING BANDS OF VICIOUS AND RABID GOLDEN RETRIEVERS. IN OUR YARD. ROAMING. VICIOUSLY. WHILE WE ARE TRYING TO GO STROLLERING!!!
13. Momma's been doing lots of decluttering and spring cleaning. She even threw out some :gasp: TOYS.
In other news, yesterday morning, Momma poured a mug of coffee and left it on the stove while she ran to the bathroom to put another coating of gunk on her hair. Then she heard some sloshing and then the sound of breaking glass. heh Then we got yelled at. Well, not Titus, because he's a goody two shoes, but me and EG. But the yelling was more like, "Don't step in the broken glass!" rather than getting in trouble. She asked us who did it, but we're not telling

Wordy Whiskie Wednesday
Here is a picture of me, trying to enjoy some homegrown, primo nip AND a rattley mousie. This is also a picture of *someone* getting all up in my grill about it. Back off with those ominous whiskies, EG.
Meme and Award Wednesday
Last week, we got tagged by Jimmy Joe for the book meme.
Here are the rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book.
2. Open to page 123
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people and post a comment to Empress once you post it to your blog so she can come see!
From Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets:
Um, ewww.
If you haven't been tagged for this meme, consider yourself tagged.
We got this award from our good friend, Ariel. I like that it's pink like Titus' ears. And that it says we are hip. hee hee Thank you, Ariel!
We are going to tag Honey P. Sunshine, because we like to go to her bloggie and listen to her hip music. The U2 song always makes Momma rock out. hee hee
We are also going to tag Freckles, because she is very cool and super brave. Have you been reading her adventures lately??? Holy cats, she's one brave chick, er, bun.

From Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets:
"Hello, Nick," said Harry.
"Hello, hello," said Nearly Headless Nick, starting and looking round. He wore a dashing, plumed hat on his long curly hair, and a tunic with a ruff, which concealed the fact that his neck was almost completely severed.
Um, ewww.

Mancat Monday
It was a very exciting weekend. The weather was finally NICE. And guess what??? The Mom broke out the stroller. And it rocked!
Here I am getting ready to hit the open road. Tazo decided not to go. Well, mainly Dad didn't know that you have to put us in the stroller and THEN take us outside. He took the stroller outside and then carried me out and put me in it. (Which got him in some trouble with The Mom, but whatever.) The Mom tried to carry Tazo outside and put her in the stroller, but she didn't want to go. So she stayed home. And got Temptations. And I didn't get any. But it was probably a good thing she decided to stay home because about 30 seconds after this picture was taken, we were ATTACKED BY RABID GOLDEN RETRIEVERS. It was terrifying. (The Mom's note: We were not attacked. The new neighbors' goldens slipped outside the fence and came running over to see us. One of the other neighbors saw what happened and came over to help me get them back in their yard. No one was harmed.)
We finally got out on the road. Here is a picture of Dad and Titus. Titus is very happy to be walking. He has a giant smile on his face and a spring in his step.
The Mom calls this one the Picture of Her Boys. It shows Dad, Me, and Titus.
After we got back, Dad grilled some salmon and veggies outside. It smelled great. All of us furry kids got a bite of salmon. We all scarfed it down. The Mom was so surprised because me and Tazo are not much for people food. And after the recent piece-of-chicken-lost-in-the-couch incident, she wasn't sure what we'd do. But she shouldn't have been worried. Salmon rocks.
Here I am resting up after the adventure. It was a super exciting day.
Hope everyone has a great Monday.

Thankful Thursday Thirteen
Like a squillion years ago, we won a prize pack from Pearl, Bert, Jake, & George for knowing that George is an Airedale. Momma FINALLY helped us upload the pictures and pick out some to show you guys. We made it a Thursday Thirteen, plus Three. hee hee
Thank you so much PB&J Gang! We loved our surprises!
::batting eyes::Bert, would you like to come over today and share some nip?
Happy Thursday everyone!
Love,
Tazo
Here we are checking out the mail. Titus' nose is not really sniffing EG's spot #13. Seriously.
Momma opened the envelope for us and then let us check out the inside. It smelled really, really, really, really good. Really.
There are some treats in there (Whisker Lickin's, which were super tasty).
Some treats for Titus. (Those didn't last very long.)
A little mousie that rattles when you shake it. He has very pink ears, just like Titus.
And the bestest part - homegrown, PRIMO nip!
See how I am hogging the treats and the nip? hee hee
This smells awesome! Momma couldn't even get the bag away from me.
I'm feeling a little nipped out.
Momma sprinkled some on the carpet so EG could try it out. Nom, nom, nom, nom...
Whoa!
I jumped off the couch to help EG with his nip.
Turns out, he didn't need any help with it at all.
I think he may have the googly eyes.
Thank you so much PB&J Gang! We loved our surprises!

Happy Thursday everyone!
Love,
Tazo
