White Dawg Wednesday

We had to go to the archives this morning.  This is one of Mom's favorite pictures of me.  If you think that she wants to give me a big smoochie right between the froot bats, you would be correct.

White Dawg Wednesday: CONTEST!

SCROLL DOWN FOR NEW POSTS :)

Because Casa de Furry Kids has been lacking in fun this summer, we're having a contest. We're going to give away a prize to the first dawg, kitteh, hammie, bun, rat, various assorted furry things that we haven't thought of, or bean to correctly guess what I'm snacking on in the pictures above. (And if you're getting that horrible red square thing instead of pictures, please refresh the page. We're not sure why we're still getting those darn squares. Grrrr.) Please leave your guess in the comments. And no, we don't know what the prize is yet because Mom just pulled this out of her butt made this up.

*Each aminal or person gets one guess.
*First correct guess wins the prize.
*Please leave your guess in the comments of this post.
*And we can change the rules if we see fit because it's our contest.

*So that our friends in other countries can have a chance, too, we're making the deadline to submit your guess at 8 am EST on Friday, August 29, 2008.

Good luck!

White Dawg Wednesday

Mom says this picture sort of reminds her of Alfred Hitchcock. She says it seems like I should be saying, "Good eeeevening." Whatever.

In other news, Aunt Jen found out last night that the chemo induction that she had two weeks ago got rid of the bad guys in her bone marrow, so she doesn't have to do another round of 24/7 chemo. Mom was screaming and screaming and dancing around the house. It really hurted my delicious, pink ears. The doctors are going to give her medicines to boost her immune system starting tomorrow and hopefully she can go home in 10-14 days. She has to have more chemo over the next few months to make sure that the bad guys stay away, but she's headed in the right direction. Thank you all for your thoughts and purrayers. White Dawg Wednesday

For Valentine's Day, Dad got Mom a cookie bouquet. Check out these cookies. Notice any resemblance to anyone?

Here's Tazo:

Here's EG. EG and Dad were both a little hissy because they didn't put his tuxedo on him. I think it's nice to see him dressed a little more casually. Hahahahahaha!

Mom thinks this cookie is a little askeery-looking:

We both prefer this version:

Here's the whole thing:

We finished off the dawg cookie last night. I got a small bite of my own ear. heh I'm pretty tasty, if I do say so myself. I can see why EG's always trying to put the bitey on me. But I still don't like it.

Happy White Dawg Wednesday to you!

White Dawg & What is That?! Wednesday

Here I am modeling with a new friend for White Dawg Wednesday. I just got back from a grueling leisurely walk with Dad, so my tongue is really, really hanging out. When we got home, Dad told Mom that he thought he was going to have to call her to come and pick us up because I started lagging behind. Dude, it was hot out. I overheat easily. You could have carried me home. The good news is that I did get some ear scratches from the neighbor and she said that she was happy to see me. She hadn't seen me around very much lately (ahem, ahem, that's probably because someone's been slacking in the walk department recently).

I am posing here next to our brand new friend. (This is the only kind of bird that Mom isn't afraid of.) Don't we look great together? I think the pink in her feathers perfectly sets off the pink in my ears, don't you? Tazo thinks her name is George. Mom wants to name her Flora. Dad brought her home yesterday for Mom's anniversary present (their anniversary is today). It made the neighbors laugh a lot. I think Dad was a little embarrassed. Mom decided to go easy on Dad and put her in the back yard, so he wouldn't have to listen to the neighbors giggling all the time. The best part is that Mom forgot she was on the patio and when we went outside this morning, she made Mom jump. It was pretty funny.

Happy 9th Anniversary to our Mom and Dad! We love you lots.

~Titus

PS - Daisy, do they have these kind of pink birds where you live? Are they really named George, too?
