Mancat Monday

If your The Mom or Not-The-Mom types are on facebook, you might have heard about my weekend. If not, well, see, I eated some plastic mesh from the carpet sometime last week. Only The Mom didn't know I eated it until Friday when she figured out that I scooted it out of my Spot #13 onto the carpet. She freaked out (because of my little obstruction incident which The Mom is too lazy to make a clicky link for but I started getting real sick at the beginning of March 2007 and had my surgery on March 17, 2007 if y'all want to check out our archives and because of my pal, Misty's, string problem) and started crying a lot (which Dad later sort of gave me a talking to about - I guess I'm not supposed to eat stuff and then make The Mom cry. I'll never understand wimmins). So I hadded to go to the v-e-t. Terrible, terrible, terrible things happened to my Spot #13 (which was kinda sore anyway after scooting out a 4" long piece of plastic string and I'm not gonna talk any more about it - it's too embarrassing), but after some additional belly poking and some xrays, the v-e-t said that she was 98% sure that I was not going to have a problem, but that I should be watched for a couple of days. So The Mom has been on poop watch and puke watch and watching-me-like-a-hawk watch for the last couple of days. She says to tell you guys that everything seems fine and that I'm acting perfectly normal. In fact, I've been cozying up to her a lot for the last couple of days. Don't tell her, but I feel kinda bad that she cried and all.

I guess the Mancat Rule of the Day is to try not to eat super dangerous stuff and make your The Mom or Not-The-Mom types cry. And if s/he does cry, then you should probably kiss up like you never have before.

  1. Well, EG, it sounds like yo have had a very eventful few days, and perhaps that you have even learned a lesson from them. You are quite right. Making your Mom cry is the pits! We're really glad you're OK, though!

  7. Oh Earl......what a horrible time you have all had. No, it is not a good thing to make our beans cry. They are so fragile! We are glad that you have been snuggling up to your Mom the last couple of days. And we are very glad that you don't have to have any operations!

  9. I am not into eating non-food items... but Pierro is beginning to show signs of interest. Thanks for the rude awakening EG. I hope your poops continue to "appear" normal.

Stop making your mom cry. It is really hard on their tender hearts as well.

    purrrs to all of you

  10. Oh, EG my darling! I am so sorry to hear what happened. Your poor Spot 13! And please, sweetie, don't eat any more plastic. Moms get really squishy and upset about that sort of thing.

I'm so relieved that you're okay! I'll teleport over for a snuggle.

Worlds and worlds of whiskie kisses!

    Love and cuddles from Dorydoo.
