Tazo Tuesday - The Elusive Speckle Edition

So Mama has been trying to take pictures of me, but I usually just run under the bed whenever I hear the flashy box. Last night, she got tricky and decided to snap some pics while I was eating. The nerve! But, I must admit, I didn't really mind. I was STARVING!

So here is Mama's favorite speckle - The Mitten:

This is why she calls me Mitten Kitten sometimes.
Happy Tuesday!

Mancat Monday

This is my mean face. Or maybe I'm just putting some cheek stink on the computer. Whichever.

Titus would like you all to know that he did NOT get a cookie for the humiliation he endured last week. He was pretty crabby about it. But Dad took him on a walk yesterday and he felt better. He also scored some weird, old bone in the back yard and ate half of it before The Mom figured out what was going on. So he was happy for a minute and then mad that she took it away, she was upset and freaking out that he was eating some weird, old bone and she didn't know where it came from, and it was all good. heh heh In other news, me and Tazo got mani/pedis this weekend. It was horrible. But The Mom did make it up to me by letting me give her the bitey. All in all, it was a pretty quiet weekend.

Thursday Thirteen - Edition 59

Because The Mom has been lazy busy, we haven't checked out sitemeter stats lately. Here are some things people have searched for that led them to us. Bet they were surprised. heh heh

1. White mustache (oh, yeah)
2. Your blinky eyes (remember that horrible video with The Mom yammering about Titus' blinky eyes?) Hahahahahaha!
3. Furry blog
4. Footie hanging
5. And one that we're not going to list because it's not G rated. Or even R rated. In fact, The Mom felt like *she* was too young for that one. heh heh

Um, after that, we're going to quit while we're ahead.

Let's see. How about 8 random things that have happened this week.

6. I got my claw stuck in The Mom's sort of sore ear piercing. She said some bad words. I hate to say it, but that's kinda what she gets for trying to get me to cuddle.

7. Dad brought home a gyro and Tazo stoled some lamb out of it and then he felt bad so he gave me and Titus a taste, too. But don't tell The Mom.

8. The Mom is addicted to playing "Tap Tap Revenge" on Dad's iPhone. It's like Dance Dance Revolution or something. It might be like Guitar Hero, but The Mom is sort of clueless about that kind of thing. Anyway, she's obsessed and it's got super annoying music that cuts into our nap time.

10. Someone had some loose 'tocks issues in the litterbox and The Mom burst into tears. heh heh (Note: It was a one time thang. I don't know why she got all freaked about it. Whatevs.)

11. I have discovered that fishy stinky goodness is DEE-LISH-US. Holy cats! I snarf it right down.

12. Dawg treats are pretty yummy, too.

13. We got up at 3:50 this morning and scored some breakfast. I think we've finally worn The Mom down. heh heh I can not wait until the time changes and we'll be having breakfast at 2:50 am. SCORE!!

Anyway, it's been pretty boring around here, as you can see. We've been catching up on naps and such. And I'm working on a real good hairball. But that's about it.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!

Tazo Tuesday

So Mama has been trying to get a good picture for our Christmas card this year. We are not making it easy on her. The boys have been hanging around by themselves in different parts of the house and I have taken to running under the bed whenever I hear a camera - even the not askeery camera. She's threatening to make a collage card. We are not askeered of her threats. hee hee
Happy Tuesday everyone! :waving at Bert:

Mancat Monday

Mancat Rule of the Day: It is very manly to sit on top of the fridge and show off your spectacular tuxedo.

In other news, we had another quiet weekend. Dad and The Mom went to a birthday party on Friday night and ate cake and ice cream and they didn't even bring any home for us. Saturday, Dad wented to work and the rest of us slept all afternoon. Even The Mom. On Sunday, they wented to the gym and then came home and we all took another nap as Dad watched the Motor City Kittehs lose again. heh heh I guess that's about it. For a more exciting weekend report, head over to Sammy and Miles and Billy's. They always have something exciting going on - I'm really quite partial to the whapping report.

Thursday News Flash!

EG wore his harness last night. OUTSIDE!

So EG's been really door darting a lot lately and he's had quite a bit of success getting outside when Daddy comes in the house and isn't really paying attention. And if he's not trying to get outside, he stands at the door and screams (especially when Titus is outside doing his outside bidness - and Titus says it's really, really distracting when you're trying to dookie and somecat is screaming and screaming - hee hee). So last night, Titus was outside doing his thing and EG was doing his usual - standing at the back door, screaming at the top of his lungs. So Mama said, "Fine, EG. You want to do this, we'll do it." She got his harness (which she hasn't tried on him in months) and leash. All in one big swoop, she wrangled him into his harness (thanking Titus for giving her lots of practice in getting a giant, wiggly white dawg into a harness as fast as possible at walk time) and deposited him on the patio. (All the while, that harness was stealing his bones! and making him paralyzed! and I was powerless to help my brother because I was hiding behind the dryer.) So EG is standing on the patio, all by himself, and Mama is letting him (because she has the other end of the leash, but don't tell him because he doesn't know that part). And he's super confused because he's 1) OUTSIDE (score!), but 2) boneless and paralyzed. So he did this boneless, creepy crawly maneuver to the edge of the patio and then he flopped down and rolled around. And then he sat up and sniffed all the good OUTSIDE smells. And he was starting to feel a little more comfy and then Smokey (the barky dawg next door) started barking at him and he got a little askeered. But then Smokey's mom yelled at him and he quit barking and EG calmed down. And then Titus figured out what was going on and started trying to play RAWR with EG, but that kinda askeered EG, which Titus thought was funny because he knew that he could play with EG and EG couldn't chomp his ears. So finally Mama decided to bring the boys back in the house and I was super glad because I missed them all when they were out there. She also thought that maybe EG would be cured of his screaming at the door thing, but well, no such luck. Ever since he got a taste of OUTSIDE, he's been screaming more than ever. Mama says she's just going to invest in some ear plugs. We are also very sorry that there is no photographic evidence yet, but Mama couldn't wrangle EG *and* the flashy box at the same time. hee hee All in all, it was a very exciting evening. Plus, Mama was so proud of EG that we all got treats. It was a great night. Whew!

Tazo Tuesday

Last night we played Chase the Giant Piece of Packing Tape with Mama. It was super fun. And then EG got too excited and put the bitey on me and I screamed real loud. And then he got a time out. hee hee

Monday, September 15, 2008

We had another quiet weekend. It rained and rained and rained. Dad said it was raining "twins and Tituses." I guess that means cats and dawgs, but whatever. We did a lot of this:

We also watched the Motor City Kitties lose. Again.

Froot Bat Friday - An Advertisement

Check out what my great friends, Maggy and Zoey, got me:

My very own peanut butter!!! And I gotta say, it's delicious! Thanks, guys!
Mom, uh, by the way, I'm gonna need a refill pretty soon.

I think Maggy & Zoey are on to something. Maybe we should try to manufacture it. Just imagine: a PEANUT BUTTER FACTORY! That I could theoretically be in charge of. Can you imagine the possibilities? PB on a spoon. PB on bread. Frozen PB in a Kong. PB on a banana. PB on a cracker. PB and bacon sammiches. PB on toast. PB right out of the jar. Oh SQUEE!
I'm hungry now. I gotta go.

Happy Friday! May your weekend be filled with PB!

Thieves! On Thursday!

Tazo started to post today, but then she got too distraught. I kinda feel bad for her. In fact, I didn't even put the bitey on her last night. Am I going soft? But I digress.

Remember the crispy 'nip that The Mom kept forgetting to water? Well, she finally watered it and brought it back to life. You'd think we'd be relieved, right? Well, we're not. And here's why.

On Monday, she gave the 'nip a haircut, so that she could try drying it. Sounds promising, right? Wrong! Well, it was sort of wet because it had rained, so she took all that 'nip and laid it out on the front porch to dry (because she claims that if she would've brought it in the house we wouldn't have left it alone. Whatever). Still sounds ok, right? WRONG!

The next morning when she went out to gather it up to take to work (and I don't know why she doesn't think she can't dry it at home - we would never think of trying to get it or standing in front of the closet door and yelling. No we would not!), she noticed that it was scattered all over the front yard. This was a little bit of disturbing news to us. And, of course, she was running late so she left the 'nip, OUR 'nip that we've been waiting for all summer, scattered ALL.OVER.THE.YARD. She promised that it would be ok and that she'd take care of it when she got home from work.

So do you think that she "took care of it when she got home from work?" No, she most certainly did not. She had some lame excuse about it being dark and blah blah blah. She said she would take care of it in the morning. I'd heard that before and well, we all know what happened the night before.

So the next morning, she goes out to gather up the 'nip and guess what? Surprise, surprise. It's gone. All gone. Not even one little measly leaf. Somecat stole our 'nip! And what did she do? Did she go looking for our 'nip? Did she call the police? Did she call the FBI? Did she call the National Guard? No. She started laughing. And she laughed and laughed. And she laughed even more when Dad told her that he'd heard something rustling outside when he was watching TV real late the night before. Um, Dad. That RUSTLING was SOMECAT STEALING OUR NIP!!! I do not see how this is a laughing matter. (She claims that she was on the lookout for googly-eyed kittehs when she headed out for work, but whatever)

I don't know who would do that. Who steals someone else's 'nip? There's been this black cat that we've seen around the neighborhood and I thought it was Bendrix, but now I don't think it's Bendrix, because Bendrix WOULDN'T.STEAL.OUR.NIP. Dad thinks maybe it was Hairy Tazo, but The Mom says she hasn't seen her for a while. I don't know. I just wish that whoever tooked our nip would just bring it back. No questions asked. And Tazo's been so upset that she's gone all Victorian on me and has taken to her bed. Bert, can you come over today and help me out? You might be able to get her to snap out of it.

Tazo Tuesday

Mama helped me with my makeover. I kinda wish she hadn't. The good thing was that she couldn't get a hairstyle to "look right" on my head, so I did manage to avoid that humiliation. :sigh:

And just so Bert doesn't forget what I look like:

Mancat Monday

It is very manly to do bat ears when your The Mom is trying to take your picture.

In other news, we were apparently having some leftover Gustav rain this weekend. Whatever. It didn't rain much at all even though it was lots cooler and way cloudier. We did get in some good cuddling, though. Dad and I (ok, and Titus) watched lots of football yesterday while Tazo and The Mom did girl stuff like catch up on Tivo'd soap operas. All in all, it was a pretty good weekend.

Happy Monday everybody!

Thursday Thirteen - Edition 58

Thirteen Things that have happened around here this week:

1. EG's super special poo test came back negative so his 'tocks are free and clear. What, Mama? Oh, she says his 'tocks have not been free this summer. hee hee

2. This morning something was scratching Mama's foot in bed. She thought it was Daddy's scraggly toenail (GROSS!), but it was me. I was clawing and clawing and putting the bitey on her. Hee hee!

3. Titus stole Mama's cherry strudel that Daddy brought her from the very best German restaurant around here. He ate the whole thing and then me and EG helped him clean up the crumbs. It was pretty tasty!

4. We each got to have a taste of marshmallow this week when Mama made s'mores. Mama didn't think me and EG would eat it because we are picky about new food, but we chowed it down.

5. Spumoni ice cream is super tasty.

6. As you can tell, Daddy has left a lot of food items unattended this week.

7. I have started poking my head out the door when Mama comes home. She does not like this new habit.

8. Stinky goodness has returned to our home. Finally!

9. Mama bought us new litterboxes. We like them a lot because there's no cover and we can fling litter super far.

10. I stole a bean burrito off Mama's plate and ran into the laundry room. Then I growled at her when she tried to take it away from me. I am just a little bit embarrassed by that part.

11. The squirty water bottle has come out of hiding. I do not like it one little bit.

12. EG has been snuggling on Mama this week. She likes it a lot, but she learned pretty quick to keep her hands off (which is really hard for her to do) or she gets the bitey. hee hee

13. Titus got a post card from the V-E-T's office that says he needs to go in for a six month geezer dawg check up. Better him than us!
