Contest Winner and Froot Bat Friday

Thank you all for participating in our What's the White Dawg Eating contest. We had a ton of suggestions that made me extremely hungry. There were lots of suggestions for things I haven't tried, so I'm going to see if I can score some of those tasty things soon. hehe
I would also like to thank the Cat Blogosphere for making the awesome graphic of me for my contest.

And now the big announcement. The winner of the What's the White Dawg Eating contest is KC!!! She was the first one to correctly guess that I'm eating PEANUT BUTTER. Good job, KC!!

Here's a little bit better view of what was on the fork.

And we have decided to award a second prize to Maggy and Zoey, because technically, they did guess correctly when they said stainless steel. In the 2nd picture, I do appear to be trying to eat the fork. hehe

Congratulations, ladies!

And for your Froot Bat Friday viewing pleasure, may I present:

Happy Friday to all of you!

White Dawg Wednesday: CONTEST!

SCROLL DOWN FOR NEW POSTS :)

Because Casa de Furry Kids has been lacking in fun this summer, we're having a contest. We're going to give away a prize to the first dawg, kitteh, hammie, bun, rat, various assorted furry things that we haven't thought of, or bean to correctly guess what I'm snacking on in the pictures above. (And if you're getting that horrible red square thing instead of pictures, please refresh the page. We're not sure why we're still getting those darn squares. Grrrr.) Please leave your guess in the comments. And no, we don't know what the prize is yet because Mom just pulled this out of her butt made this up.

*Each aminal or person gets one guess.
*First correct guess wins the prize.
*Please leave your guess in the comments of this post.
*And we can change the rules if we see fit because it's our contest.

Thursday Thirteen - Edition 57

Here are thirteen things we're thankful for this week:

EG
1. The Mom got a proper "sample" to drop off at the V-E-T's office so she's not lurking behind the bathroom door every time I'm in there doing my personal, private business. It was quite annoying.

2. The return of STINKY GOODNESS. FINALLY. We had to go two months without it because of all the 'tocks trouble. We shoulda called the ASPCA.

3. Delicious pink ears

4. My first hairballs. My tummy felt better and as a bonus, it really freaked out The Mom. heh heh

Tazo
5. Open windows

6. Corn Pops - they are delicious!

7. Lots of pictures of Bert on his blog lately

8. Fresh catnip - oh.my.paw. Mama cut off all the crispy parts of the plants and gave us some last night. It was totally primo. Except I got really nipped out and she thought she poisoned me and was going to have to take me to the ER. hee hee

The Mom
9. I am very thankful that Tazo was just nipped out and that I didn't actually kill her. Whew!

Titus
10. I am thankful for all the delicious things that have been suggested in our contest. I have some new ideas for my competitive eating.

11. Tummy scritches

12. Cooler weather in the mornings so I can hang outside while Mom gets ready for work

13. The Furminator

Tazo Tuesday

I have to tattle again today. Mama keeps forgetting to water the nip plants. She is letting them get all brown and crispy. It is very askeery. I don't even want to think about it.

Cat Man and Mancat Monday

First of all, we'd like to give a shout out to Not The Mama, a fellow inhabitant of the great Mitten State. The only way he could be cooler was if he was a cat. Thanks for all you do for all of us. You rock, Mo!

And in other news:

Mancat Rule of the Day: When your The Mom is trying to take your picture, refuse to look at her until she takes you strollering. All I did all weekend was try to go strollering. Needless to say, she did not get any good pictures of me. BECAUSE SHE WOULD NOT TAKE ME STROLLERING.

In other other news, The Mom had to go "digging for treasure" in the litter box this morning. heh heh She dropped off my "sample" for the super special poo test to make sure that I don't have any bugs or germs or icky-ness lurking in my guts any more. The v-e-t tech even said she hoped that we were done with all that poo business. We should hear back on Thursday. The Mom is crossing her fingers that everything comes back negative. Something about she's tired of playing in the litterbox. Whatever. She has no idea how to have fun.

In other other other news, Aunt Jen finished her last dose of chemo on Saturday. She's home resting and trying not to yak. Her doctor said that she's doing really well and all her markers indicate that they got the leukemia and made it go away. She goes back for a bone marrow test in five weeks and we're hoping hoping hoping that everything still looks great. The Mom was doing lots and lots of happy dances yesterday. So thank you thank you thank you everyone for all your thoughts and purrayers.

Froot Bat Friday

Yes, I'm licking my bed. I was licking my arm but the whole "Gimme some froooooot baaaaaaat" distracted me and I wound up licking the bed. I'm not proud. In fact, it's a little embarrassing that Mom decided to post this for all the world to see. Can't a guy catch a break?

Happy Friday!

Tattle Tails on Thursday

Daddy bought an exercise bike a squillion years ago. Guess who uses it the most? hee hee

Tazo Tuesday

In other news, I am going to tattle on EG today. Last night, Mama sat down with her computer to help me blog and he curled up on her lap and purred and went to sleep. Do you believe it? Mr Tough Mancat purred. And slept on Mama. For hours. hee hee Even though Mama started to freak out and wonder if he was sick again and then spent the rest of the night watching him like a hawk. hee hee

In other other news, as an update on yesterday's post, he didn't get to go outside. Mama always tells him that if he'll wear his harness, he can go outside, but he refuses. He says his harness paralyzes him and steals his bones. I say, Latte and Skeezix and Dragonheart all have the same harness and they do just fine. Whatever. I think he's being just a little bit stubborn.

Mancat Monday

It is very mancatly to hang out by the door so that maybe, just maybe, you can run outside as soon as your Dad or The Mom opens it. I'm not sure that this is such a flattering picture of my greyness, though. I think I look a little misshapen or something. Thanks for the weird angle, The Mom.

We think we still need some hugs around the blogosphere this week, so we're sending lots and lots of hugs to all of our friends.

Please keep Monty and his family in your thoughts and prayers this weekend.

Thursday Thirteen - Edition 56

Here's 13 thoughts I've been thinking since *last* Thursday.

1. I heard The Mom say that the VICIOUS AND RABID GOLDEN RETRIEVERS are moving away. Whew! The neighborhood will be safe again without that HORRIBLE BAND OF VICIOUS AND RABID GOLDEN RETRIEVERS ROAMING the streets. VICIOUSLY .

2. Banana-flavored medicine and chicken-flavored medicine do not taste like bananas OR chicken. They taste like a word that I'm not allowed to say. (Dear Aunt Bee, if you want me to send my clavamox to you for Sarge, then I'm on it. It's a banana-flavored antibiotic, and it may give him the squirts, just to let you know. But I'd be happy to pawn it off on Sarge mail it to you.)

3. It's kinda fun to watch The Mom "dig for treasures" in the litterbox every day.

4. Woman! If you take a picture of me as an "EG-burrito/Tiny One Week Old Baby", I just might claw your eyes out. And the fact that you give me a big, old smooch on the top of the head every time DOES NOT MAKE IT ANY LESS EMBARRASSING. (The Mom's note: He just looks soooo cute all wrapped up in the towel we have to use to give him his meds. It's just so adorable. I just know that Dorydoo would love to see a picture of him. )

5. ::singing:: A HANDFUL (hint, hint The Mom) of greenies makes the medicine go down, the medicine go down-wown, the medicine go down...

6. I'm looking into the evil twin thing. You know, like Mr Hendrix has Bendrix. But I'm having trouble coming up with a name for him. Then again, I do have a real twin sister. Hmmm. Why didn't I think of that before? I could just blame everything on Tazo *and* get her to take my medicine for me. heh heh Then again, I'm not sure she's got that "evil twin" look about her. Anybody have any suggestions?

7. If you look really pathetic, The Mom will drop everything and give you lots of attention. And then you can give her the bitey with a side of bunnykicking.

8. I have not had stinky goodness since June 22. That should be a crime. I'm totally jonesin' for some Grammy's Pot Pie. To add insult to injury, The Mom even stopped making boiled burger or chicken and rice for me. What the paw?????

9. I just can't get a good "dig to China" thing going in the stoopid, new litterboxes The Mom insists on using. We did luck out on the Breeze Box thing here. The Mom was considering it, but the whole 'tocks issue + pellets really creeped her out. Whew! We dodged that one for sure!

10. My name is Earl Grey NOT Errol Grey.

11. It's super fun to watch The Mom freak out when I pretend to eat out of the litterbox. heh heh

12. We got Titus used to waking up at 4:37 am and now we can sleep in. He gets everyone up at 4:37 am and then The Mom gets crabby at his good two shoes self, instead of me.

13. What, The Mom? I am *not* crabby.

In other news, Aunt Jen got to go home yesterday! Wahoo! Your purrs really worked. She still has her infection, but it's lots better. She can't get her chemo next week like her doctor planned, but she does get to stay home, hang with her kitty, Molly, and hopefully grow some more white blood cells. Thanks again for the awesome purrs!

Tazo Tuesday On Wednesday

Here is a picture of me and my mom (sorry it's so noisy - it's from Daddy's phone). She always picks me up and carries me around the house. I would let her carry me around for hours. As soon as she sits down though, I jump off her lap and run away. She thinks it's funny because when she goes to bed, Titus and EG (usually) go in there with her and EG will snooze on her legs. But I always stay in the family room with Daddy and watch TV. You just gotta keep your humans guessing.

In other news, EG's clavamox has taken control of his 'tocks. That's all I'm gonna say. hee hee

Tazo Tuesday

I am taking back Tazo Tuesday this week. No more grey brothers being blog hogs. No talk of 'tocks or going strollering or nothing. Just all Tazo, all day long.

Happy Tuesday everyone!

NOMSS Day

Last year, I was really fortunate to have made three NOMS Friends by taking the dare from The Cat Realm. So I'd like to honor them today.

Here's Marie.

Dragonheart

And last but not least, Mickey Mantle

NOMS Friends Rock! Happy NOMS Friend Day!

Mancat Monday

Mancat Rule of the Day: When it's medicine time, it's perfectly acceptable to hide. Because if you can't see them, they can't see you. I think avoiding eye contact might work, too. I'll let you know how it goes.

So here's the 'tocks update. The V-E-T called The Mom on Saturday with the results of our diarrhea panel super special poo test. Tazo is in the clear - she tested negative for everything. I tested negative for giardia (wahoo!), but then I turned around and tested positive for clostridium, which is a bacteria that hangs out in your GI tract and can cause 'tocks trouble. So I'm on another 10 days of flagyl and now I have clavamox, too. Which the V-E-T says can cause 'tocks troubles, too. Holy cats, let's hope that doesn't happen. Oh, and The Mom still has to change out our litter every day. heh heh

PS - Mancat Stock Tip of the Day: Buy stock in Swheat Scoop and Kitty's Wonderboxes in the next couple of weeks. I've got some inside information that both companies are going to see an increase in sales. heh heh

In other, other news, Aunt Jen is still in the hospital. Her arm is still infected and they don't know what kind of germ did it. She's getting lots of aunty biotics and they're taking good care of her. But we just wish that she would heal up so she could go home. Her kitty, Molly, really misses her lots.

Froot Bat Friday

Here is another video. Mom is trying to get me to show off my quivvy tail, and hoping to catch some froot bat while she's at it. I was doing both right before this was taken. And then she turned on the camera and I stopped. hehe Could anyone tell me why she gets that annoying, squeaky voice whenever she wants me to give her some froooooot baaaaat or do quivvy tail? It just makes me want to ignore her.

I did throw her a bone though. See how annoyed I look? hehe

In other news, the twins want to thank everyone for stopping by to trash the house for their birthday PAR-TAY. You guys rock. And they totally loved the shrews. hehe
